Hello — I’m a qualified aromatherapist with over 30 years of experience in holistic aromatherapy, essential oil blending, and natural product making. The recipes on this site grew out of that work.
The qualified aromatherapist behind the site
The recipes here come from over 30 years of working with essential oils. First, I studied at the School of Holistic Aromatherapy in London under Nicole Perez. Then I earned my Diploma in Holistic Aromatherapy in 1992. Since then, I’ve been a member of the International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA).
After completing the diploma, I ran a private aromatherapy practice as a qualified aromatherapist, helping clients with natural, plant-based support for everyday wellbeing. Treatments combined custom oil blends with massage, skin care, and lifestyle guidance. That practice is where most of the recipes on this site began.
From kitchen-bench blending to a recipe library
What started as blending oils for clients soon turned into making natural skin care, hair care, and home products for family and friends. Moisturisers, balms, room sprays, cleaning sprays — anything I could make with essential oils instead of synthetic ingredients. Over the years, the collection grew. Eventually, Essential Oil Recipes became a way to share those tried-and-tested blends with anyone wanting more natural products at home.
What you’ll find here
Today, this site is built around three things:
- Free recipes — hundreds of essential oil blends for skin, hair, mood, cleaning, and home fragrance
- Aromatherapy basics — safe-use guidelines, dilution rates, carrier oils, and oil profiles
- Ebooks in the Shop — themed recipe collections, organised, ad-free, and ready to print
In short, everything here grows from classical aromatherapy training and decades of hands-on use. The aim is simple: clear, practical information you can trust, so you can confidently create natural products at home.
